Saint Thomas More is a unique space to act as the connection between USC students and their Catholic faith. My twenty plus years here have brought me great joy!
I am from a military family that traveled the US and overseas. In my late teens, we settled in Columbia, and I became a Gamecock for life while attending USC. Here I met my husband, and we began our life traveling once again, living in Korea for 18 months and several cities in the US. After returning to Columbia, I had our four beautiful children, one of whom is Autistic. I spent many years at home, serving in their schools in various roles. During this time, I worked at the state and local level as an advocate for people with disabilities. I volunteered with the Autism Society and worked for the state-funded advocacy education program, Partners in Policy-making. I am a founding and current member of the board of directors of the nonprofit organization Serve and Connect. We began our mission after the death of Officer Greg Alia, a USC graduate former STM Newman Club officer. Our mission is to ignite positive change through police and community partnerships.
My favorite activities are spending time with family, friends, playing tennis, and all water activities. I am a lover of dogs and enjoy a good book!
